At this current moment in the MCU's timeline, Bobbi (and her ex-husband/current non-exclusive boyfriend Hunter) are 65% mercenaries working for the best causes they can and 35% vigilante heroes seeking out even better causes to help. They aren't in super close touch with their old team or SHIELD, but they could be at a moment's notice; Fitz retired and Jemma at least left the field (making them safer), so Bobbi and Hunter do see and talk to those two more often (and given Fitz's obvious crush on Hunter and Jemma's on Bobbi, they do be swinging tho). Hunter gets them more of their mercenary work, while Bobbi (alias Mockingbird, finally) finds more of their passion projects. They're not really settled anywhere, nor are they constantly traveling together, but they're sorting it out.

That said, AUs where they/she never left SHIELD or wound up more Avengers-adjacent are also very welcome!
